1.First I looked for the background that I wanted to use so that I knew what pose to do. I then set up my camera and put it in the right settings which were, Manual Mode, Focus M, Shutter Speed of 1/125, Aperture of F11-F16, and ISO of 100. I sat down in front of the green screen and did the pose I was going to do. For the lighting pattern I used front lighting so the light was right in front of me. Then my partner took a photo of me.
2.I first downloaded the pictures of myself onto my computer and then opened photoshop. I selected the photo of myself with the green screen and then went to select>Color range and set the fuzziness to 40, set the selection preview to Black Matt, inverted, selected the green background with the eyedropper tool, pressed Ok and added a Layer Mask. I then went to File>place embedded and looked for the background that I used which was New York City. I then placed it, stretched it all over the background, checked, marked it, and re-arranged the layers so the background was the bottom layer. After I double clicked on the layermask in the layer panel to open the “select and Mask” menu. I selected the refined edge brush and adjusted the sliders. I then held command and clicked on the layer mask to add marching ants and went to Select>Modify>Contract and contract by 2 and pressed okay. Then I went to Select>Inverse and used the brush tool with white and black paint to refine and remove green edges. Then finally I was done and went to File>Save a copy and saved it as JPEG.
3.For my final image I photoshopped myself in New York City because in the future I plan to visit New York one day and It would seem fun to go there. The pose that I did was sitting and having my hands up on the side. I did this pose because when I go somewhere I usually do this pose when I want the background to also stand out because you're trying to show the background too. I used this background because this image to me seems like the nicest picture and you can see all the billboards and in New York you see a lot of those and a lot of big buildings all around. My pose and background worked together because most people including me would do this pose when taking a picture of a place they are at. The level of mastery that I think my project demonstrates is a 3 because I met the standards of what I had to do. I completed the photoshopping mastery.
