Butterfly Lighting

1. Each lighting pattern made different parts of the person in my photograph stand out by the shadows

and the light. The different lighting could make the photo seem dramatic. Most things were the same when photographing the egg and the person but with the person you could see more texture and it creates more of an image since with the egg it's just plain. With the model you could angle them more differently than with the egg because with the person, when photographing them you could see more shadows and with the egg not as much.

2. Lighting is an essential skill for photographers because it can create the image itself. The lighting in a      photograph can set the mood or the atmosphere of the photo. For example direct/hard lighting can            make the photo seem more tense, harsh or make it feel more dramatic. While with soft/diffused                  lighting it can make the photo seem more calm like soft.

3. In the future I will use the lighting patterns that I used when photographing myself or a classmate. From this project I now know how to use different angles to create different lighting patterns.
