1.First you need to get your camera, tripod, something to sit on, props, and photoshop. Either go outside or somewhere that has a background that you want to photograph. Then put your camera in Manual mode, then the aperture to F8-F11, ISO to 400-800, focus to Manual (MF), and White balance to Auto (AWB). Take a photo of you or someone else standing, sitting or whatever pose on a chair. Then move all the props you used out of the frame and take a photo of just the background.

Transfer your photos from the SD card to your computer. Open photoshop and go to File>Scripts>Load files in stack, then locate your images and select both images at the same time and make sure to press Attempt to Automatically Align Source images. Then you have to organize your layers to make the one with the person in it on top and the background photo on the bottom. Add a layer mask to the top imagine and use a brush to erase with black paint. Go to file, save a copy and change format to JPEG, change size to 3 and to save select okay.

2.It's important to keep your camera and tripod in the exact same position when photographing for composite because you are taking two photographs of a background with and without an object or person. You are combining two or multiple images together to create one photo or outcome. The aperture can help control how blurry the background is, you should keep it the same so that all the shots are the same. Having your camera focused can make your photos look sharp, and with the ISO it the brightness or darkness of your photos.

3.From the start of this project I knew how to photograph and how to change the settings of my camera to get good lighting on the photo. But I didn't know how to put the two pictures together to make them composite. Doing this project helped me learn how to edit to make a composite photo.  I learned to not move my camera or tripod so that I can get two photos with the same background. With editing I knew how to edit a photo by removing things and changing the lighting but now I learned how to edit two photos together by using a layer mask and using a brush and the color black to erase things. When we get to our next project I am using what I learned during this project like the layer masks, and remembering to not move my camera/tripod.
